A 'master' bedroom only a few square feet bigger than the bed. You should try that some day.
The light streaming in the many windows make it seem larger, in addition to giving insomniacs prime stargazing opportunities. This room is esthetically the most successful in our cabin, and also the last to be finished. I kept learning from mistakes as the building progreesed and think I finally got it right somewhere around this stage.
In here you're relatively isolated from the rest of the cabin and there is no heater installed. We like to sleep in the cold, and in this room we get it plenty. The door and interior walls are insulated from the rest of the cabin, so with the window cracked it drops down to only a few degrees above the outside temps, winter and summer. Yet on sunny days the solar gain heats it up nicely.
